Culture of Japan

Talking about culture, I want to talk about Japan cuture. Japan has unique culture. Japan is in East Asia. First, Japan is dubbed as the country of Sakura. Because there are many sakura trees there. The colur of sakura is pink. Second, it’s about Japanese language. Japanese is written with a combination of three scripts: hiragana, derived from the Chinese cursive script, katakana, derived as a shorthand from Chinese characters, and kanji, imported from China. Usually, katakana is used for writing of English. Kanji has many symbol. Each symbol of writing kanji has meaning. I think it’s difficult. Third, Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It has gained widespread international fame for its focus on harmony, color use, rhythm, and elegantly simple design. Fourth, it’s about geisha. Geisha is the famous traditional Japanese entertainers have many myths about their lifestyle and history. Geisha is traditional, female Japanese entertainers whose skills include performing various Japanese arts such as classical music and dance. Geisha has a negative view from many people because besides she perform classical music and dance, she can sell herself to the rich man, or we call it as a bitch. Next, Japan has a famous weapon. That is Samurai, a long blade and sharp. The famous Samurai were warriors in pre-industrial Japan. Japan has also a custom clothing. That is kimono.  The kimono is a very famous traditional Japanese clothing. There are many different types of kimonos including Yukata. Kimono is a big clothes with big band in waist. Kimono has many design, such as flowers.

My Experience in Bandung

When I was in Senior High School in the 3^rd grade, visiting to some university in Bandung was held from my school. Many student followed those tour. First the tour was held two days, from Saturday to Sunday. We have to arrived at school at 6 pm on that Saturday, because we would go at 7 pm. We went by bus of tourism. Before, we went, we had preyed first. Our first destination is the University of Padjadjaran. As along road, we sang many songs together with my friends in the bus. Finally, we arrived in University of Padjadjaran. We visited faculty of economy there, and we followed to the room. We had got welcome from the lecturer and share many things. Next we visited the faculty of communication, we visited the studio. Then, we left that university. Second, we go to the next destination, checked -in the Hotel of Pesona Bambu. The situation of that hotel was cozy, and comfort. Each room was filled with five students. So, my room mate were Risha, Shesa, Arny, and Prisca. I felt like own house because there are living room, bedroom, and balcony. In the evening, I had dinner together in that hotel. Then, we enjoyed the situation by walked out around hotel and found some meals and souvenirs. Because that was rain, we went by using the umbrella. One of my friend’s umbrella become turned up because it’s too windy. Oh, that’s ridiculous. Then, we back to the hotel and slept. It was very cold in the midnight. So I blanked whole my body. Third, on Sunday, we were ready to checked-out, and went to an institution of producing odder. Then, we went to Institution of Technology Bandung and Dago. In Dago I and my friend bought some meals in Kartika and bought some clothes in Factory Outlet. In Cihampelas, I and my friend also bought some souvenirs. During my trip, I didn’t forget to take many picture of my self and my friend with camera. Last,we back to Jakarta again. That was so funny tour, it was my happy experience in Bandung.

Education

I will talk about education in Indonesia. First, we must know what education it is. Education is knowledge acquired by learning and instruction. Second, I will talk about standard education in Indonesia. The development of education in Indonesia is better than before. Year by year standard minimum of examination for each subject is increase. For example, standard minimum score of mathematic examination in the class is 60 and the following year standard minimum increase become 70. So, student have to reach good score to pass the standard minimum score. But beside that, national examination in senior high school become frightened for many student because the standard minimum score that have to reached by student always, increase year by year. Many students are afraid and stress if they can’t reach that score to graduate from their school. There are many student who are not pass the standard minimum score of national examination become stress. They cry, feel ashame because they can’t pass it, frustration and many more. But they have to follow the next examination for they are who not pass the national examination. Third, it’s about the cost of education in Indonesia. The government give fund of BOS ( Bantuan Oprasional Sekolah ) for elementary school until junior high school, but private schools are not include. So, it helps poor students in order to can school like other student. With BOS the student don’t have to pay the cost per month in school. It’s  different in private school. Generally the cost of private school is expensive, but they have good quality in education. The more expensive of the cost of private school, the more good quality education they have there are same private school, using international standard. That’s about education in Indonesia.

Sport

I will tell you about sport that is about our national team football in AFF Cup 2010.First, I will tell you about what sport is. A sport is an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful activity requiring commitment, strategy, and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. It is governed by a set of rules or customs. In sports, the key factors are the physical capabilities and skills of the competitor when determining the outcome (winning or losing). Second, our national team football in AFF cup 2010. AFF Cup 2010 may be enfolded by the Malaysian national team. But the performance measure, Indonesia deserved pat his chest because it is still better than the champion. Malaysia is a champion of the AFF Cup in 2010 after the final second leg on Wednesday (12/29/2010), only to lose 1-2 at home to Indonesia. Cashed a 3-0 victory in leg I, 'Tiger of Malaya' a champion with an aggregate 4-2. Last, statistics on the tournament's official website shows that the 'Force Garuda' was the best during the AFF Cup 2010. Indonesia topped the standings statistics AFF Cup 2010 with a record six victories and one defeat. Indonesia also became great team in the tournament with 17 goals, ahead of Malaysia that makes 12 goals. So, Malaysia is okay to be champions and coupled with the trophy. But if talk performance, Indonesia was the champion. So, that’s about our national team football.

Famous Person

   I want to tell you about famous person. She is Angelina Jolie. First, I want to tell about her personal details. Her name is Angelina Jolie Voight. Her nickname is Angie, cat woman, Ange, AJ. She was born on June, 4 1975 in Los Angeles, California, USA.  Her height is 173 cm. Second, I will tell about her  career as actress. Angelina Jolie is an Oscar-winning actress who has become popular by taking on the title role in the "Lara Croft" series of blockbuster movies. In 2000, Jolie was asked to star in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). The Croft character was drawn from a popular video game. Lara Croft was a female cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. Jolie's father Jon Voight appeared in "Croft", and during filming there was a brief rapprochement between father and daughter. In 2004, Jolie began filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) with co-star Brad Pitt. The film became a major box office success. There were rumors that Pitt and Jolie had an affair while filming "Smith". She also play in movie like A Mighty Heart, Wanted, Salt, The Tourist. Third, it is about her social activities. One of the Croft movie's filming locations was Cambodia. While there, Jolie witnessed poverty of that country, so she began the humanitarian chapter of her life. She began visiting refugee camps around the world and came to be formally appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Some of her experiences were written and published in her popular book "Notes from My Travels" whose profits go to UNHCR. Last, I will tell about children that she adopted from another country. She adopted a Cambodian refugee boy named Maddox and in 2005 adopted an Ethiopian refugee girl named Zahara. She and Brad Pitt welcomed daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt on May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa. And they adopted a three-year-old Vietnamese boy, Pax Thien Jolie (born November 29, 2003). Gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl on July 12, 2008 in Nice, France around 8 PM via c-section, Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt. So, that’s about Angelina Jolie.

Movie

            Talking about movie, we must know what movie it is. First, movie, it also called a film, is the cinema film that entertains us. There are the story, scripts, actors and actress, director, cameraman, make up artist, lighting, microphone and many more to support or to make a film. Second, there are some genre of movie. Some kinds or genre of movie is romance, horror, action, comedy, drama and many more. Third, I would like to tell you about the development of film in Indonesia. There are many Indonesian film produced in Indonesia. The number of Indonesian films produced from year to year is increase significantly enough. There are so many Indonesian films had appeared that eventually led to tendency of common themes and storylines. Recently, Indonesian film are stuck to the theme of romance and horror. Fourth, I would like to tell you my opinion about some film that I ever watch. There is Indonesian film that touching my heart. I cried me a river to watches that film. The film is “Heart” which the story is very touching and sad. Moreover, I don’t like Indonesian horror film so much. It’s bad, disgusting, and the end of story often doesn’t clear. Too often sex or pornography scene in Indonesian horror film. Some actresses wear bikini or sexy dress in that film. The story is non sense. Besides that, I like action movie. One of my favorite movies is Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The action scene is very cool in that film. The actors in that film are Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie as a couple married. They don’t know what their job each other. They are work in a different secret agency to do one mission. A quarrel, fight and love happened in that story and the end of the story they are back together. In this November, there are some new movies like In the Name of God, The Social Network, Red, Taker, Senggol Bacok, Aku atau Dia, Mega Mind 3D, Harry Potter and many more. That’s all about movie I want to share.

Disaster

Disaster

    Recently, disaster which happens in Indonesia are Tsunami and the explosion of volcano. Before I explain about it, I would like to tell you what disaster is. Disaster is a natural terrible phenomenon that happens in this earth. It can be happen anytime and anywhere. The example of disasters are flood, earthquake, tsunami, the explosion of volcano, tornado and many more. We don’t know exactly when disaster comes. For example, the earthquake comes suddenly in one place. It shakes that place until the house and building are destroyed, many people are injured even died. That’s horrible! Next, disaster happened in Indonesia is Tsunami. Tsunami happened in Mentawai, West Sumatra. It began with the earthquake with 7.2 scale of Richter. Tsunami made the building flat on the land. It caused many people died. The survivors of the disaster are stay in refugee. Many auxiliary troup come there, but some of auxiliary troup also difficult to reach that place  because the access is hard. Next disaster is the explosion of volcano happened in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The status of Merapi is still dangerous unil now. Even the radius is expanded until 20 km. The hot cloud is still out around Merapi. Villagers around there are ordered to leave that place and stay in safety place that is provided. But some of them didn’t want to leave it and consequently, they were dead. Mbah Marijan, who caretaker or understand about Merapi, was also dead. The death body of Mbah Marijan  was found in prostration position. The effects of  the explosion of volcano for around Merapi area are sand rain. So, the people is have to wear a mask. Borobudur temple is also dusty. Some people still back to their ricefield while Merapi is still danger. That’s disaster happened in Indonesia. What a terrible. There’s so many disaster happened in Indonesia recently. We have to help them with contribute some money, foods, clothes and drugs for them. Let’s pray for Indonesia.
